Mike Anderson has been fascinated with communications and technology his whole life.  His computer networking passion began as he was studying for his Bachelors of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Miami, as dial-up bulletin board computer systems were converging with the Internet we know today.  He was able to take part in the excitement of the early years of computer networking technology, developing a large multi-campus enterprise network as he continued on with the University.

While pursuing a Masters in Business Administration in his spare time, he was enthralled in the challenges of high-performance networking, cluster-computing and security.  With his ability to match business needs with technology solutions, his career with the University transitioned and grew many times over covering many different disciplines.  His University career gave him the opportunity to be involved in strategic technology initiatives using technology solutions to advance the academic and research missions of the University’s top-tier programs in science, business and medicine.  These opportunities included involvement in data center design, high-performance networking, high-performance computing, wireless-networking, information and physical security and a wide range of finance and operations management disciplines.

Through his 20+ years as an IT professional, Michael has achieved many industry certifications beyond his academic credentials, from organizations like Cisco, Novell, VMware, Juniper, Palo Alto, Meru, ISC2, ISACA including the designations of CISSP, CCIE, MCE, CISA, CISM, CRISC, JNCIA, JNCIS and ITILv3.  His real expertise lies with his ‘MacGyver’ abilities to draw on a wide body of knowledge to deliver results that require specializations across multiple disciplines.
